| On November 14, 2008, the Americas Program of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) will host a conference on the topic: "Controlling Corruption in Local Governments in Latin America." This half-day event will examine efforts in place in the region to fight corruption in local government and to identify resources from multilateral and bilateral cooperation that can be focused on improving the quality of local government. Confirmed speakers include:
